sweetondean's Light on Spoilers, Heavy on Squee Preview of Supernatural 12x10 "Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets"

We're back. Again! How nice is it to have our show back each week! VERY NICE! THAT'S HOW NICE!

When we last saw our heroes.....

THEN

Running...sweaty....dirty....fluffy hair....badass talking....dangerous....

FANDOM BE LIKE....

And also...Cas killed Billie and cosmic circumstances and yadda yadda yadda...

Working as a team...in the wilds...single layer...kick ass....

NOW

We get to find out a little bit more of Cas' back story and about his garrison buddies!

I saw someone on twitter say how this still looks like Sam and Dean both bolted to the table to get the seat next to Cas and Sam lost! It really does! He's totally perched!

Anywhoooo....here is the synopsis!

“Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets”

ANGELS AMONG US – Lily Sunder (guest star Alicia Witt) steeps herself in black magic, honing her powers for over a century, waiting to exact revenge on a band of angels that murdered her family. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) must work quickly to stop Castiel (Misha Collins) from becoming her next victim. Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Steve Yockey (#1210).

This is writer Steve Yockey's 2nd episode for season 12 (and for Supernatural), the last one being the wonderful "Celebrating the Life of Asa Fox". He obviously likes long titles with names in them!

This is Thomas J. Wright's first ep this season!

Alicia Witt guest stars in this episode. Way, way, way back at the beginning of Jensen's career, Jensen guest starred on Cybill, in which Alicia played Cybill's daughter (early in Alicia's career too). It was Jensen's 4th role, in 1997. Alicia is doing some awesome dancing in the clip below!

Just thought it was fun in case you hadn't seen it!

So Lily is out to get Cas, because his garrison killed her family....probably...or something...and now she's bumping them of...by the looks of things.

PROMO

The fellow in the bowler hat is Ian Tracey, who also played Krissy Chambers' dad in Season 7's Adventures in Baby Sitting. (He was also in the excellent X Files episode The Walk, and being from Vancouver, had guest gigs on Dark Angel and Smallville!)

I really hope we see some badassed Cas...Cas seemed so lost and sad last week. And more badassed bros...because HUBBA! I want Dean growling down a walkie talkie at someone, and the boys silently taking out a swat team, every week! Love the eye patch on Lily too, very Daryl Hannah in Kill Bill!

SNEAK PEEK

What even if this clip? It's so random. Seriously random! Ermmm, I'm assuming Cas and Dean had a disagreement about something... yeah....I got nothin'. I would however like to say that in the opening shot....Dean is crazy pretty (like that's anything new) and the lighting is really lovely!

Here are a couple of interviews with Alicia and with the guys talking about this episode. Jensen talks a little a bit about working with Alicia before, and both Alicia and Jensen talk about not remembering!

They are ridiculously adorable....

So another week, another episode! Just by the by - next week is a Deancentric episode and I will be at Vegascon!!! Eeeeeeeeeeee!! Just thought I'd mention it!

Enjoy the epi, guys! Here's some pretty to close out with!

WHAT THE WHAT THE HELL!!!!!! WE HAVE A PRODUCER PREVIEW! I DON'T THINK WE'VE HAD ONE OF THESE SINCE 19-TICKETY-BOO!

Let's see what Mr Dabb and Mr Singer have to say....

Okay - so it appears that the falling out may be over the saving of the Winchesters' lives, the death of Billie and those darn, pesky cosmic circumstances! Well, how very Supernatural to be annoyed about being saved!

And most importantly we discover that there will be hats, lot's of very interesting hats.

Andrew Dabb's hoodie though. ADORBS! I like him.

Have fun guys!

Leylin Vixen's Quick Draw Recap - Supernatural 12x09 First Blood

First Blood

Opening words

That was a pretty long Hellatus. I thought it would never end and I am so glad our show is back! The boys were left in a horrible predicament the last time we saw them. They were captured and nobody knew about it. Also Cas lost the woman that was carrying Lucifer’s child. So, things were looking pretty grim. One of the series I like is Prison Break so I was excited to see how the Winchesters would take care of the same kind of situation. Also I was interested to see what Cas and Mary would do and what will happen with the Nephilim. I just feel that something is brewing under the surface and soon the rug will be pulled from under us. “Prepare to feel the pain!” Is the name of the game.

Without further ado, here is the first recap of 2017!

Supernatural Think Tank - Anna's Thinky Thoughts on "First Blood"

Well I gotta say, I don't think there's a finer way to celebrate KM than by showing Episode #250 which totally kicked it in the ass.  I think Kim would've been so proud.  In my humble opinion, this episode was definitely worth our hellish wait.  What a great start to the second half of what I feel to be an amazing S12.   That People's Choice was most definitely well deserved. 🏅

Can I just say "finally".  I've been waiting 12 years to hear AC/DC's "If You Want Blood".  Thank you SPN, thank you for finally getting that song, which I find so very appropriate for the Winchesters.  My SPN I tunes playlist is so happy now.😊

I just finished my re-watch and I loved it just as much the second time as I did the first time. What an exciting hour of television.  Winchesters, the epitome of what heroic is all about. Everyone involved did a super job, but as I dip my feet in the shallow end of the pool, I want to say that the boys looked incredibly hot and were totally badass sexy.  I ogled my tv the entire time. 😍

Review - Supernatural 12x09 "First Blood"

Welcome back Supernatural! Happy end of hellatus! And happy 250th episode! In a week which saw the anniversary of the death of beloved director and executive producer, Kim Manners, the show coming back with such a fantastic episode seemed a fitting tribute. Everybody truly did kick it in the ass. And 250…perfect. “First Blood” was another shining example of our Show, that in its 12th season really has no right being this excellent, but I’m super glad it is!

For me, this was one of those edge of your seat episodes, one of those ones that without even realising it, you suddenly notice that you’ve creeped forward in your chair and you’re perched precariously on the edge, ready to tumble if the Winchesters do. Which of course they don’t. Because hey, those Winchesters were never going to tumble, because of my gosh, they were the baddest badassed dudes I know them to be. Dangerous, deadly, badassed and massively hot! Hot, hot, HOT! Sorry but they were and I ain’t gunna hide the fact that a couple of times I thought I was going to spontaneously combust from the hotness! I may have omitted little squeaking noises, and by may have I mean I did! I like nothing better than in sync Winchesters. Whether it’s emotionally, as one knows exactly what’s going on with the other; whether its frivolously and the talking at the same time thing which is always adorable; or whether it’s in battle, subtle hand movements, nods of heads and wordless glances telling each other exactly what to do. A well oiled, terrifying team. Sometimes I forget how terrifying they can be… If I didn’t love them so, they’d scare the shit out of me!

Supernatural Celebrates Season 13 on Twitter!

Yes as most of you have probably heard, Supernatural got a very early pickup for season 13! Go show! The renewal was announced in amongst other CW shows as part the the CW TCA panel.

Via EW

Supernatural and the entire DC superhero lineup.

Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supernatural, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Jane the Virgin have all been renewed for the 2017-2018 season, the network announced at the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Sunday.

“Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas,” CW President Mark Pedowitz said. “Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”

Supernatural‘s renewal for season 13 continues its streak as the longest-running show in CW (and The WB) history. Previously, 7th Heaven held the honour, ending after 11 seasons.

Yep! Season 13... the little show that could.

And Mark Pedowitz, head of the CW, once again reminded us that the show has his support at the network...

Review - Supernatural 12x08 LOTUS - The Midseason Finale!

Oh hellatus…how I don’t like you, like at all! Just over one week without a new ep and I’m already whimpering a little! Doesn’t help that we were left with a WTAF cliffhanger! Doesn’t help that I watched the promo for the next ep and went “WHELP!” It made me sad and a little panicky!

But hey, this is not a preview!

(Also, sorry for the lateness…I was dragging it out!)

Okay, I’m going to be honest here, on first watch through, I wasn’t crazy in love with the idea of Lucifer jumping into the President. I kinda wished it was a really powerful senator, or even the Vice President, because I found myself being dragged out of the moment with random thoughts about Presidential security, and how the boys could get close enough to the President to draw Lucifer out! Or how a President would be able to talk his security detail into driving him to a motel no-tell to rendezvous with his girlfriend…at least in this day and age of hyper vigilance. But hey, they let him fly a plane and fight aliens in Independence Day soooo…..
