  1. Hi guys! So how's everyone going? Tell me what you're loving about season 10!

  2. Hmmm, lets see how this goes... Alright!

I loved at the start to see determined Sam. I loved Demon!Dean even though I didn't like to see Dean as one. Jensen Ackles nailed it and Jared nailed Sam to try to get him back. The season has started calmer and I have liked every episode from it. Fan fiction was a-w-e-s-o-m-e.

Also all the new characters like Cole and Rowena are intriguing. Cole has great chemistry with the boys and the actor too. Rowena's accent. Love it but she is definitely up to no good. Also seeing Jody and Donna again was hilarious (and I am so so happy when they survive from Supernatural episode alive)

I am a happy camper so to speak. Also I want to give credit for Ackles about the directing. Season 10 has had few of the best fight scenes ever and the Cat and Mouse game in the bunker. Poor Sammy.

I am also sad to see Hannah go but she also lift the cat out of the bag with angels and their vessels. And Crowley/Sheppard looks pretty dashing in season 10. ;)

    2. I really love the Cole character. I'm super interested to see where they take that character. Travis is doing a great job with making me interested in and care for Cole! And his and Jensen's fight scenes are like a ballet!

  3. I love the writing! I love the parallels between this and earlier seasons - how Dean's decision to let Cole live ("That ain't mercy") parallels how Dean must have felt after Azazel defeated him but didn't kill him. I love Jared's ability to nonverbally communicate how locked up Sam is over what he did to Lester, the way he freezes up every time he has to fight unless Dean is directly in danger. I love how the brothers have switched places - after being purified by the trials, Sam is now the righteous one, and Dean is the one with demonic influence. I love how every bit of vitriol Dean spewed at Sam when Sam was trying to cure him was almost a dead-on match for the vitriol Sam spewed at Dean when he was influenced by the siren. I loved demon!Dean and sad Crowley, and I hope they bring Cole back again... and I thought Fan Fiction was an awesome thank you and love letter to its fans. And Jody and Donna! and, and, and SQUEEEEEEEEEE.

  5. Sorry I seem to be having some difficulties trying to post here, not an expert in this, just a crazy fan itching to talk with other fans about our amazing show! I love everything about season 10! I can't believe how Jensen can take a character he has played for 9 years and make it look like a whole new character! His talents are beyond words. I too am liking the Cole character and wouldn't mind seeing a spin off with him, this I would watch! Thanks Sweetondean for this site and for your awesome reviews, I look forward to reading them cause I know I will agree with you 100%, I'm not kidding, no matter how disappointed I might have been in a certain episode or season you will point out the good and I am like..right! why didn't I see that! Well thanks again and remember....where's there squee, that's where I will be! :)

    1. Hi Bonnie! Thanks for your nice words. I agree with you on the writing, they sure have bought their A game this season - though really, don't they always! This the first season for a while though where there hasn't been an ep that felt a little flat - or maybe that also happened last season - I can't remember! 9 and 10 are both great!

Like I said to Lilah - I'm really loving Cole! I know we'll see him again and I really don't know where hs story is going!

How Jensen and Jared keep taking their characters to new places and keeping them fresh is beyond me, but they are so impressive! :)

  6. Thanks for the opportunity for squee Amy. I always believe in positivity and enjoy your reviews immensely. I am loving everything about S10. The character studies of all characters. The quiet times and looks the boys have had. I don't need a hug to see how they deeply care about each other. And like any couple, friends or family members who have really had it out, they are building their way back to a balanced relationship and how to relate to each other. Especially since they aren't really 'boys' anymore. But moving to a different level and balance in their relationship when they have been together 24/7 for 10 years, well minus hell and purgatory, it has to be hard to get out of a behavior rut and routine they became comfortable with. The devil we know is always more comfortable then the unknown or new.

Again, loving this season. Over the moon for s11 too. The MOC story has me so intrigued how it will work out. That new sneak peek made me ache for Dean. The look he gave Cas and remembering how he made Cas promise to take him out. Oh I am so glad they have announced s11 and I don't have to go there. HA!!

Thanks for all you do for fandom. I hope your foot is better soon so you can do all that walking at Vegas Con!

    1. I'm with you on the quiet times and the way they are reconnecting. And I don't need the hug either - their love is totally obvious! I cried in that sneak peek! First time that has happened!!!

      Delete
    2. I agree on not needing the hug. It wasn't even Dean hanging the fake Samulet on the rearview mirror in Fan Fiction that I liked the most (although that hit me right in the heart) but it was more when Sam said "What she said" and Dean's eyes closed and there was like a sigh of relief from him.. I don't know if that was scripted or that was just Jensen doing what he felt was right, but I loved it so much.

  7. I'm totally all for this squee page! :) Awesome idea, Amy! I love how Dean is slowly realizing his own self worth and that he has people that care about him. And also that he's not pushing them away like he's done in the past. Not a fan of what the MOC has done to him but if the end result is that he thinks better of himself, then it was all worth it. I also like how Sam is right there for Dean even through I don't begrudge him for season 9. It can't be easy being Dean Winchester's little brother all the time. All he's ever wanted IMO was to be allowed to be his own man. Just like Dean IMO also wants.

I love how Cas is finding out who he is now that he's free of angels controlling him (hopefully for good). I like that he's reconnecting himself with Claire and that he's there to be a friend to both Sam and Dean. I'm glad he and Sam have a friendship now after that rocky start.

Jeremy and the rest of the writers deserve a big giant fruit basket.

  8. DAILY SQUEE!
What are you most looking forward to for the rest of season 10?

I'm absolutely laser focused on how they are going to sort out this MoC thing and how long this will take. Will the answer be on the demon tablet? Does the cure come from Cain himself. When will this thing be gone - I am assuming it will be gone... BECAUSE I WANT IT GONE BECAUSE DEAN IS MAKING MY HEART HURT!

I'm also really mystified by what is going to happen between Crowley and his mum? Will she try for power? Will he see her for the complete witch she is? Or will they team up to be wicked AND evil? Or will Crowley turn to his BFFs, Moose and Squirrel for help to get rid of the mother of all mothers!?

And what about Cas? Is his story going to be around Claire or will it be Metratron and Heaven?

How will all this intersect - because it usually does - to lead us in to SEASON 11??!!!

So basically... I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO IT ALL!

    What are your thoughts?

    1. Oh my goodness, I can't narrow it down to one or two or even three things!! I am just pumped for EVERYTHING!!!

I think I am really the most excited for *SPOILER* the episode About A Boy! I think Adam Glass writes some amazing brotherly episodes and especially has a soft-spot for Dean. I am super excited to have Dylan back!

This MoC storyline is fantastic and I can't get enough of it!! I am thoroughly enjoying having Sam 1000% on board with helping find a cure. Sam is so smart I love when he gets a goal and jumps completely in to find a solution. Love me some smart Sam!

GAH! So glad our show is back soon! I can't wait!

    2. Yes! I'm so excited about Adam's ep - and really interested to see what this young Dean is like! And Smart, saving his bro Sam is my faourite Sam. I love Sam so much this season - even more than usual!

*ahem* (It's Jilly here in case you're wondering)
I predicted before season 10 began that it would be the best yet, and so far I've seen nothing to change that. I'm not a huge fan of angels in general, but I do love to hate Metatron, which is pretty much what I'm guessing we're supposed to do.
The one thing I love most about the S10 is how the boys are together in a way they haven't been for a very long time. Their love for each other shines through in every scene together. It makes me so happy.
I'm crazy excited for the rest of the season. It looks like we've got a lot of squeeing, terror, tears, and more squeeing ahead of us.

    2. That is my favourite thing about season 10 too, how the brothers are working together, want to work together and are making great efforts to get back on track with their relationship, There is so much love in this season. You can just see the love between the brothers in every episode. It makes me so happy!

  10. It is fun to read everyone's else thoughts, and it seems we are all on the same page! I am loving Season 10. The best part of Supernatural is the Boys being together. I just did a re-watch of every episode during mini-hellatus, and while I love it all, sometimes it is hard to watch when the Boys are so far apart - at least for me, from an emotional standpoint. This season has been great at rebuilding that relationship, as there is nothing better than brotherly love between Sam and Dean Winchester!

I am super excited to see what is ahead for Dean with the Mark of Cain, and About A Boy looks awesome. Will 14 year old Dean have 36 year old Dean's memories? Although, I have to chuckle that a year ago they thought Dylan was too old to be 14 and now, a year later, he is playing 14. I loved Bad Boys and I know Adam Glass wrote Dean as 14 originally, but they changed it to 16. In my head, that story takes place with a 14 year old Dean :)

Jensen and Jared have been fantastic this season. It is wonderful that they are still so excited and enthusiastic about the characters 10 years later. I can watch these guys do anything - they would make reading the phone book fun and interesting! Their real life friendship truly comes across on screen.

I am super jealous that you will be going to VegasCon and seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I am waiting for Silver tickets to go on sale for ChiCon. Hopefully, Creation can lure JDM there as well! Thanks for giving us a chance to squee!

    1. HA! I never thought of all that stuff about Dylan! I loved Bad Boys, so I'm super excited for About a Boy. The storyline sounds very cute!

I really hope Jeff can do a few more Creation conventions. He's a pretty busy fellow though when you look at his imdb listing! I'm excited that they're in planning for a Magic City movie with the original cast, plus Bruce Willis and Bill Murray! Should be awesome. I have a feeling I'm going to be nervous to meet him. The J2JDM trio op is going to be a bit overwhelming! I can't quite get my head around that it's happening!

  11. DAILY SQUEE!

With the first Supernatural convention of the year only hours away from kick off, how about sharing your favourite convention moment? It could be one you attended or something you watched on YouTube!

Conventions are my happy place. I love them. I did my first one in February 2011, which was LACon and that kind of changed everything. I met my sister from another mister, Hazel at that convention - and now we holiday together, doing 2 Creation conventions a year! And of course that was the first time I met the boys (I'd met Misha and some cast at an Aussie con the previous year), and meeting them definitely changed something inside me. I can't even really explain it, but somethng exploded inside me that changed me forever and I've never looked back!

I guess my favourite personal convention moment is always going to be attending Jensen's first jam session at my first convetion (he did one more at Nashville then hung up his jamming hat). I was lucky enough to get a ticket in the auction. It was for 40 people - just 40 of us and Jensen and Jason Manns. It's how I met Hazel, because we connected on a FB LAcon group a few weeks prior to the con when we found we both had tickets to the jam. We met up on the Thursday night of the con and became instant buddies! Weirdly, when we drew seats out of a hat for the jam, we drew seats next to each other! So obviously our friendship was meant to be! The jam was amazing - intimate - Jensen was super nervous. He told stories and sung his favourite songs. I'll never forget the feeling of watching him sing in such a close environment, with such a small group of fans.We were all squeezed into a tiny room! I may have cried. He may have noticed. AWKWARD! A couple of days after the jam I wrote up the experience in a loved-up flurry! It's on my sweetondean tumblr (look up archive Feb 2011) and I reposted on this blog - just do a search for it or, let me know if you need me to link you.

Other favourite moments - pretty much every meet and greet I've done with Jensen, or Jared or Richard!

I absolutely loved Jensen joining twitter and I was stoked to be at Vancon when he did it. Jensen joining twitter is one of the happiest things ever! His tweets are happiness personified in 140 characters #Love :D

Seeing Osric sing at the Vancon caberet and being so adorable was a wonderful thing (I cried). Oh and and his first big cosplay as Princess Bubblegum at Dallascon 2013 - hilarious! As was the boy's reaction when they saw the photos!

Last year's Vegascon with Rob making his big convention/Louden Swain comeback after his stroke, was an amazing thing to be a part of. I cried so much at last years Vegascon!

On and, seeing the guys shooting an ep after Vancon 2012 - it was Blood Brother and it was one of the most amazing things to witness (I wrote that up too - it's on this blog)!

And of course, my favourite thing about conventions always, is hanging out with friends!

Of conventions I didn't go to but enjoyed on YouTube (thank you fans who take care of us), one of my all time favourite moments must be when the woman askes Jared if they make a c**k sock in his size. Jared's reaction was PRICELESS! It was Bostoncon 2011. I also love last year's Torcon when Jensen surprised the fans in the auditorium at the end of autos with an impromtu couple of songs using a fan's guitar. What a fabulous moment!

That's just a few favourite moments, there are so many of them - every single convention has a bunch of them!

    What are yours?

    1. I wish I could go to a convention. I actually really would love to but money will and is a huge issue because I live in the other side of the world and I would need to drag my hubby along. I haven't traveled that much so I would probably panic and get lost... But always from the tweets and other the events seem so great. They really seem like a party of awesomeness all around and it would be nice to talk to more people that like the show. I actually have no friends close by that are as into the series as I am.

My dream convention would have Jensen, Jared, Tahmoh, Misha, Cas, Mark etc. as quests. I would probably faint in the photo ops, at the autographs... It would probably VanCon with all out gold ticket. You get the point... And if I wouldn't faint I am actually that shy I probably wouldn't get a word out and I would just cry... Not a nice cry but ugly cry...

Girl can dream can she? :)

    3. Shoot, not sure what happened. Will start over. My first and only was the first Vegas Con. It was fabulous. One highlight was winning a trivia contest and having a $200 voucher to spend. I had only been watching a year, but I guess cramming 7 seasons into one year and rewatching TNT and DVD's paid off. HA

My big highlight though had to be meeting and talking with Ty Olsson. It was his first convention and he surprised himself by sharing some personal things about his past with the audience. A short time later I had the privilege to speak with him. Since at the time I sometimes worked with foster kids we had a wonderful chat. Out of respect I will not share the details he shared with me. But I told him over and over how he now can impact so many lives. It was a touching conversation and touched my heart. I will never forget it. And I realized while speaking with him how truly human and vulnerable actors can be. I will never judge one again, no matter what they have done because until one walks in another's shoes.......

I'm excited to share I have 3rd row seats for MinnCon and as a resident of Jody Mills' home town I am desperate to have Kim come. Brianna too. A duo sheriff photo op would be so popular with the locals! If you are willing, help by sending creation an email for me encouraging them to get them both there. THANKS!

  12. I have so many favourite con moments, if I talk about them all it'll take all day, but if anyone's that interested, they're all written up on my blog too.

The first that springs to mind is VanCon 2013. That was the first time I'd taken my Sam & Dean dolls to a con (my J2 photo op with the boys posing with the dolls is still one of my favourite photo ops ever). During J2 autos, Gen and Thomas arrived. When I got to Jared, Tom was sitting in his lap. After Jared signed the Sam doll's arm, he picked it up, made it dance, and said "Look Tom, it's Daddy". (Tom, of course, was all wide-eyed at all the people, and wasn't all that interested, but it was a precious moment for me)
Not really "con" moments, but I wouldn't have been there if not for the cons: Each of the 3 times I've been to VanCon we've been lucky enough to find filming, and each time has been a truly memorable, amazing experience.
In 2012, we were actually on set during the beach scene from Blood Brother, as Guy Bee's guests.
In 2013, we spent 3 days outside the house from Bad Boys and had many convos with crew, and Jared came out and brought us peaches and blew kisses. We were also treated to the wonderful spectacle of Baby peeling out of the driveway and hooning it up the road - we could hear her for ages after she was out of sight.
In 2014, we spent 3 days outside the school from FanFiction, and had many wonderful convos with even more crew, production people, and cast. Jared came out to show s the EMF meter he'd stolen from "proppin' Robin". Just being out there, knowing that inside, the 200th episode was being made, was the most amazing feeling.

    Jensen joining twitter was EPIC.

The main highlight of any con for me, apart from getting to see Jared & Jensen, is meeting up with my online friends. The ones I talk to every day, plus new people. These friendships will be special to me forever, even after there are (I can hardly bear to say it) no more cons.
So, like I said, I could go on and on. Thanks for the opportunity to talk about those memories Amy.

  14. First off, I'm so excited to join the squee page!

Oh my gosh! That Hunter Games was AWESOME. I could barely concentrate at work, but it was good to go, since it wasted my day until the boys were back on! My bestie and I have started Face-Timing while we watch the episode so we can squee and freak out during the commercial breaks. It was crazy! I loved all of the hallway scenes in particular, when Sam and Dean were talking while walking down the hallway, and then when he and Cas crash down the hallway once they figure out Dean's beatin' on Metatron. (Speaking of which, dudes, how long do you think it takes to make a sandwich! HELLO!) Oooh, and when Dean emerged out of the shadows with that intense look on his face! Goodness. I also thought the lighting was so awesome in the first scene with both of them in the dungeon with Metatron, where Sam's sitting on the table in the light and Dean's still in the shadows. I wanted him to start pacing back and forth, like a lion or something.

Here's the one thing I've been a little disappointed with in this season . . . which I am loathe to admit and feel like I'm betraying my show! But, I sort of feel like Crowley's been kind of . . . soft this season. I only say so because I just watched some old Crowley torturing the Alpha shapeshifter, and I want him back! What's he doing? Why isn't he striking fear into the hearts of his demon horde anymore? And also, why is he falling for Rowena's crap! He's the freakin' King of Hell! "Act like it!" :) Perhaps he's still hitting the human blood? What do ya'll think?

Otherwise, I love love love the season. The writing has been great, the acting has been great. Which is making me even more stoked to go to my very first Con in Vancouver in August! Thanks for sharing your stories about Conventions! I'm a little nervous, having never been, and it's great to hear the stories so I have a better idea of what I'm getting myself into! Definitely experiencing squees upon squees!

  16. Hey Amy

I want to thank you for setting up this page. It is so refreshing to be able to come here and read about the things in the show that are making people happy, instead of the incessant complaining found everywhere else. It makes me so sad to see former fans dismissing the show as being terrible now and even wishing that it would be cancelled. But it also makes me angry, because for some reason they sometimes make me feel stupid for loving this show. Maybe it's because some of these people work in the television industry or because they are very articulate and write or have written in depth analyses, meta, etc. that they make me wonder if I am missing something. I don't write about the show, but I definitely analyse and think about it way more than is probably healthy. And you know what? I still love this show to bits. Yes, it's different from what it was before. But different doesn't equal bad.

I am really enjoying this season. Sure there were a couple of episodes that I thought were just okay instead of great, but it has been a solid season overall. I truly love what they're doing with the brothers' relationship. I love that now it is Dean who is the one struggling with something while Sam is the one supporting him. I don't mind the slow burn that this season seems to be. And episodes like Reichenbach,, Fan Fiction and About a Boy were absolutely awesome. I'm not really one to ‘squee’. but I can certainly say that tweets like those from crew members like Russ Hamilton and Jason Fischer about how epic upcoming episodes will be have me totally excited about what’s to come. I know I can always count on you to bring the positive to everything Supernatural. So maybe I should 'do a Dean Winchester' and 'shake it off' when it comes to all the negativity I see :)

  18. I loved Paint It Black. Dean's confessional killed me. All he's ever wanted was normalcy and I hope he can find it. The MOC needs to go. What I've loved most from 8 to now is Dean's becoming even more his own man and less John Winchester Jr (I like John but he did mess up both his boys) and more than just "watch out for Sammy". It's nice to see Sam watching out for Dean. Not enough do in my opinion.

I also really enjoyed Dean bonding with the nun. Their flirting was cute. And the whole reveal about more MOL bunkers has me excited. Are there more descendants of other Men of Letters out there? What knowledge is buried within these other bunkers?

Lastly I'm glad this squee page exists. I can't do Twitter anymore and deactivated my account. Too much constant toxic negativity.
