Spoilers Sweeties! Official Description: Supernatural 9.11 "First Born"

Oh.My.God. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!

Well, this is super massively spoilery in relation to Sam. Massively spoilery!

Oh, you better read the synopsis!

TIM OMUNDSON ("PSYCH") GUEST STARS AS CAIN --- Looking to reclaim his place as King of Hell, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) asks Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help finding "The First Blade," the only blade that can kill Abbadon (guest star Alaina Huffman). Knowing he owes Crowley a favour for helping Sam (Jared Padalecki), and also wanting Abaddon dead himself, Dean reluctantly agrees and the two set off on a road trip. However, Dean and Crowley are completely unprepared when they find out who has the blade - Cain (guest star Omundson), the first son. Meanwhile, Sam is back at the bunker with Castiel (Misha Collins) who notices there is some leftover grace inside Sam. If they can extract it, they can use the grace to track Gadreel. The only problem is the procedure may do permanent damage to Sam. John Badham directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson (911).

Okay, see massively spoilery and really rather awesome! Phew, quite frankly. I wonder who Gadreel is hanging out in now (the bastard!). I like the idea of Castiel and Sam getting some time together. I've always thought, that given the opportunity they would bond. I also like the idea that Sam may have a tad left over Grace. Actually, I like that a lot. But it sounds like they're going to try and get it out of Sam. Please, no more with the permanent damage. I mean, how much can Sam's poor body and soul stand!

The whole idea of Crowley and Dean on a road trip fills me with squee! That would be one car full of sassy comebacks and snarky one liners! Are you kidding! That is going to be some funny dialogue right there.

I'm also excited for this whole Cain storyline. I don't watch Psych. The only time I've seen Timothy Omundson is at karaoke as a guest of Richard's! But Cain and the idea that the brothers trace back to Cain and Abel fills me with glee. Glee I tells ya! And not the singing kind!

Now the other thing that's got me seal-clapping over this one is the director... JOHN BADHAM! Are you kidding? John directed War Games, Saturday Night Fever, Short Circuit... EPIC SQUEE! He was a crazy successful movie director through the 70's, 80's and 90's after which he moved into TV and became a crazy successful TV director. Damn this show gets some talent working on it.

Of course, speaking of talent - this episode is written by the always witty and delightful Robbie Thompson. So you know what I was saying about sassy comebacks and snarky one liners? YEP and YEP!

Who's excited? Who's got an opinion? Who wants to jump up and down like a fangirl (or boy). ME!

  1. Can't wait! I'm so ready for this hiatus to be over. I hope they find Gadreel and send his feathery butt to... well I was going to say back to heaven, but if it's still locked to angels.... can an angel go to hell? lol

Cas/Sam bonding makes me incredibly happy. Anytime they have moments together is like rainbows and sunshine for me. :)

Crowley/Dean is of course going to be so much fun. I can't wait to see what happens with Cain. Wonder if Cain/Cas will meet (or re-meet), I was watching 'The Man Who Would Be King, think that was the name of it, s6, Cas centric, he was in a park on a bench for the whole episode, and said "I remember Cain and Abel." and a bunch of other brother types from history.

    1. Ooo yes! I forgot Cass said that in The Man Who Would Be King!

      It's so exciting! :D

    2. I just hope Castiel is with the Winchesters more than he's not. They can all help each other fight this battle. Even though they trust Cas, I'm thinking this whole Gadreel thing is going to make both Winchesters (especially Dean) leery of asking any angel for help, even one they trust whole-heartedly.

    3. I don't think Cass will be. I think he's going to be on his own mission with the angel war. He can't be the fix-it-all, so he can't be with the Winchesters all the time. Otherwise they have an angel in their pocket. That's always been the issue with having an angel character like Cass and why it is that he's so often estranged from the brothers, or you know, human! To ensure that he can't just whammy them out of bother.

  2. I know and it makes all the sense, not denying that, but keep hoping that they make a rule that Cas doesn't help them and they don't ask unless it's a life and death matter.

I'm super excited we don't have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for Sam to be Sam. Maybe Cas will smooth over Sammy's ruffled feathers(HAH) over the whole possession thing. Anyways, I'm with you Amy. Let the countdown begin. Yippee!!!!!

  4. I was torn to get super spoiled (I shoulda known better to peak, but I can't help it!) and relieved at the same time. I miss Sam! I know that 9.10 is going to be super charged no matter what, so I'm hyped beyond belief to see it all play out. Hope these next two weeks aren't going to crawl by! We need a time machine or something!

  5. I'm so excited for these 2 episodes. I'm glad Gadreel won't linger in Sam, but I'm curious to see how he is when Gadreel's gone from him. And 9.11 look awesome!! Can't wait for some Sam/Cas time..love it when those two get some time together and also Crowley/Dean time. With this being a Robbie Thompson script I know there will lots of funny moments between those two and snarkiness. (is that how you spell that.. LOL) So excited..is it January 14th yet!!
