It's time for another Supernatural News update and it's a fun one!
First off a bit of a promo for moi! This coming weekend is San Diego Comic Con and of course, Supernatural will be there. I won't be, but that won't stop me enjoying the hell out of it and making sure you do too! I'll be doing a mega-post capturing all the news, photos and videos, so you can catch up! I'll start getting material up as soon as I can, and the post will be a work in progres, so keep checking back for more epically awesome Supernatural stuff! I'll post updates on twitter too!
The Comic Con Supernatural events kick off on Thursday night with the SuperWiki Wayward Cocktails party. It's going to be brilliant, with some very special, special guests, so there should be some fun stuff to report on from that. Then Sunday is the Supernatural panel day. With autographs at 10.15 - 10.45 and the panel in Hall H at 11.15. What they will show at this is a mystery. The gag reel, which is usually a highlight, was released on iTunes over a week ago, and as the show only started shooting yesterday (I'll get to that), they may not have any new episode footage. So I'm super interested in what the video presentation section of the panel will be! After the panel, the team will be doing interviews in the press room, then at 2.30 it's the Nerd HQ panel - which will be streamed live for all of us to enjoy. Okay, on to other news!
SEASON 11 STARTED SHOOTING!
Yes, that's right season 11 is underway! Yesterday the first episode of the season started shooting - which will be 11x03 - with Jensen at the helm for what is his 5 time in the director's seat!
The crew was very excited and started tweeting...mostly about beards....or beards coming off!
Then Jensen shared the epic event with us! In stages. And with lots of freckles *swoon*.

"DAY 1 OF SEASON 11!!!!! How in the world have we gotten here?!?! I'm thrilled and excited to be working with our director (Mr Jensen Ackles). And I'm sending some sneak-peek footage. SO, give it a look before I'm forced to take it down ;)"

Ahhhhh it's so nice to have them back. It was a wonderful...if a tad distracting...day!

In other news!
Remember Jason Mann's amazing Christmas album, Christmas with Friends... well, he's baaaaack!
This time Jason is doing Covers with Friends, and once again he's asking us to help him kickstart the project. So far he's announced that Rob Benedict, Tim Omundson, Misha and Jensen are joining him on the album. So obviously it's going to be amazing! Jason self produces his albums, so we're a big part of getting these projects off the ground via Kickstarter. If you want to get involved, there's another 44 days to back the project. As usual there are some great rewards, and Jason promises photos and videos from the studio once the project is underway. Here's the link if you'd like to check it out!

Here's a bit news from the Supernatural writing team. As you probably know, Adam Glass has left the Supernatural team to become show runner on the latest Criminal Minds spin off, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. We sure will miss him, but I'm sure we also all wish him the best.
So there's a new writer on the team.
I don't have much information, I just had a tweet shared with me...
There you go, there's another female writer in the writer's room and I'm sure we'll hear more about her once the show is back on the air!

I love it when the Supernatural family comes together. Last week we had all the wonderful photos from behind the scenes at the Supernatural Fandom movie. This week Alaina Huffman and Julie McNiven shared some lovely photos of their get together with their families. Nawwww!

As if Jeffrey Dean Morgan isn't already the busiest guy on the planet, this week it was announced that not only is he the male lead in the 2nd season of Extant but he's also been signed as a season regular on The Good Wife!
And you'll be happy to know that Big Daddy John Winchester will be involved in the Supernatural Fandom movie! The team tweeted a behind the scenes pic today! Dont forget to follow @SPNFanMovie for lots of updates about the project!
