This blog post is in chronological order from Thursday - Sunday.
Included are all SPN panels, as well as pressline interviews and pressroom interviews.
It's San Diego Comic Con weekend and I'm in Sydney... D'OH! Never fear though, I've got your Comic Con action covered! I'll be trolling the net all weekend (and for quite sometime after the weekend) to ensure I capture all the events and news, and fun tweets relating to Supernatural, its cast - past and present - and the creative team that create this amazing show we all love!
Queen Felicia chows down on a Batman donut! |
THURSDAY saw a lot of tweeting from writers and cast member who had made the pilgrimage down to geek-central early.
Supernatural writer/producer, Robbie Thompson was there to talk about and sign his
Marvel comic series, Silk.
Always the fanboy <3 |
The wonderful Jules from the Supernatural Wiki, took part in the Fandom is my Fandom panel, with a discussion on fan fiction and topics surrounding fan fiction.

The Kings of Con, Rob and Rich, were doing a bit of writing, and apparently wearing pants, before heading south to take part in a Kings of Con panel at Nerdist.com (not to be confused with NerdHQ), and the Thrilling Adventure Hour panel, both on the Saturday.
I know, technically this isn't a comic con photo but it is so adorable! |
There was news on the Ben Edlund front, when the former writer of Supernatural joined the Powers (a Playstation original drama) panel and was announced as joining the creative team for season 2.
Here is an article from IGN.
JDM was in attendance (and looking damn fine) on Thursday doing a panel with Halle Berry for their show, Extant. Jeff has also been signed to The Good Wife.
The way too beautiful duo also stopped by the Entertainment Weekly photo room for this lovely shot!
Here's the panel for you to enjoy!
And look at our very own Young Sam Winchester, Colin Ford, there to promote his show Under the Dome.
Here's the panel if you want to hear from Colin!
Thursday was rounded out Supernatural party style with the SuperWiki Wayward Cocktails party, hosted by my buddy and fellow Women of Letters podcaster, Jules!
This party was thrown by fans, to celebrate 10 years of the show and the fandom and everything we love about both!
The guest list included the Hillywood girls as well as some of the Supernatural writers past and present - Adam Glass, Robbie Thompson, Bobo Berens, Jenny Klein and the wondrous and magical Ben Edlund! Curtis Armstrong even popped by! The team from Random Acts was there, as was the lovely Lynn from Fangasm...and so many of my friends I may have whimpered a little!
Awwww Robbie in his Always Keep Fighting t-shirt! |
*sigh* |
On to FRIDAY!
One of the great things about Comic Con is that the stars of all your favourite shows are all at the one place, which makes for epic mashups, like this one!
The Evil Queen meets the King of Hell! |
The Carver, of course will be on the Supernatural panel on Sunday, probably giving us his usual non-spoilery spoilers! Here he is hopping the train!
Writer, Jenny Klein met a certain Guardian!
Jules met fan favourite, Orlando Jones!
And Misha hit town!
SATURDAY!
Mark and Misha did a Q&A on Meerkat live stream for the CW. Someone recorded it and popped it on YouTube.... so here it is! Enjoy!

The bromance between Stephen Amell and Jared continued....
Jensen announced he was on his way! Wooooo hooooo!
Jared tweeted from Seattle looking all cute...before having epic airline woes...
Look at those dimples Osric cosplayed up, as is his way, and headed to SDCC! |
Misha mingled (unless that's Jensen in costume 😝)
Ben Edlund signed for The Tick (and for guys in costumes that leave nothing to the imagination!)

Jared finally made it to San Diego....as did his bag, hopefully!!! 😂
Jared's Manager got in on the fun again showing off this year's Supernatural Comic Con bag.
DJ Qualls is in town for his series Z Nation
Ruthie Connell is in town too!
This is pretty cool - lots of Always Keep Fighting shirts hitting Comic Con this year!
And in really big news, The Batman v Superman trailer dropped and OMG JDM is THOMAS WAYNE! Of course, we always knew he was Batman's dad!
Misha was seen around Hall H line
A MOOSE SIGHTING!
But Jensen is still MIA...so the #WhereIsJensen took off on twitter and is damn hilarious! Seriously, go check it out!
Misha and Ruthie!
While Misha went off to get pizza....
The Hillywood girls say hi to everyone in line for Hall H, took photos and handed out candy!
And it was pizzapocalypse! When Misha finally arrived with Pizzas - via pedicab - and was promptly mobbed! Holy cow! Watch the periscope here! It's scary!
Here he is arriving and handing out pizzas!
Meanwhile, the Supernatural writers partied!
And while the internet continues to search for Jensen, Jared is everywhere!

And now for the panel!
First up, an amazing fan organised event which took place durng the panel.
The crowd held up Always Keep Fighting candles to thank the cast and crew and in particular support of Jared, for his work with AKF and his own personal struggles.
This is what it looked like...
via Sandra Gonzalez |
via @VladaGelman Organised by @house_of_darkly - here is the candle and the note. Here is an article about how Jared reacted - really awesome. This is via Jared's facebook... A pernsonal and incredibly moving note. "A thank you. To anybody and everybody that had ANY part whatsoever in the Always Keep Fighting Hall H tea light event. As I travel back to Vancouver from San Diego Comic-Con, with my partners in crime Jensen Ackles and Mark Sheppard, the enormity of what happened is finally starting to sink in.... I am beyond moved. I feel so blessed, and grateful, and honored to be a part of the magical Supernatural Family. Sitting on that stage in Hall H, I initially mistook all of the lights for cell phone cameras. It's difficult to discern specific shapes and faces with all of those stage lights shining on you (and, it's quite intimidating up there, sitting in front of 6,500 people!!). Then, when I had a light given to me with an explanation of what it was and what it stood for, I was (and am still) gob-smacked. Thank you. From the very bottom of my heart and my soul, thank you so much. I will never forget this day. I will never forget the love that I felt, and still feel. And, to everybody who held a light for me, please know that I hold my light for you. Though I happened to be the one sitting on stage, I am but one small light in a see of thousands. TOGETHER, we can and will make a difference! Keep letting your light shine. I will do the same. And, keep fighting. Always Keep Fighting." |
And this is amazing - this video from a segment on E News
