Do we always have all the titles to the end of the season by about this time? It feels like we don't! But now we do! And, you know, as soon as we see titles, we can't help but speculate! Because that's what we do, right?

Anyhooooo, here are the titles for the remaining episodes of Season 10!

10x15 - The Things They Carried (read synopsis here)

10x16 - Paint It Black

10x17 - Inside Man

10x18 - Book Of The Damned

10x19 - The Werther Project

10x20 - Angel Heart

10x21 - Dark Dynasty

10x22 - The Prisoner

10x 23 - Brother's Keeper

But what does it all mean? What are your guesses? Which are myth eps, mythalone eps or standalone eps?

Let's play let's torture ourselves with wild and painful theories!

  1. Brothers Keeper (I've also seen it listed as My Brothers Keeper) is causing me some anxiety....like I thought last summer was unbearable. I have a feeling this one is going to kill me. We all know what the bible says. Just please no.....
I'm guessing that Book of the Damned might be the book Charlie went to go find? 10.19 is a Berens script so I'm looking forward to that one. The others?

    1. Yes, you said about this:

"Cain told Abel his brother. And it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. 9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" And he said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?" 10 He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the ground.…"

Doesn't really sound good to me either. :(

  2. Ooooh I have theories and guesses!!!

I have to admit that "Brother's Keeper" has me freaking out a bit because I've seen posts about a verse in the bible that refers to Cain asking God if he was his "brother's keeper" when God asked him where Abel was after Cain had killed him. But I don't think the show would go there. Well, at least I hope so...

Now "The Werther Project" is intriguing. @SPN_sil did some research and this is what she found:

    Werther effect
A popular term for an increase in suicide rates that
    (1) follow media coverage of suicide(s); or
    (2) are inspired by reading about others’ suicides; or
    (3) are linked to a friend or family member who committed suicide.

She also found an "offshoot" definition that expanded the theory not just to copy-cat suicides influenced by a primary suicide, but also included copy-cat violence influenced by a primary violence.

What I found is that it refers to the phenomenon that behaviors, whether self-preservative or destructive, are copied between humans by ideas manifested in language (ex: literature, music), in addition to genetics. This observation is closely associated with “contagious human behaviors”, including multiple personality disorder, pathological homesickness and suicide.

Her theory is that Demon!Dean's violence could in-turn spurring a rash of copy-cat violence based on HIS violence. My theory is that Dean becomes increasingly violent/suicidal & so Sam becomes increasingly violent/suicidal in his efforts to cure/save him.

I guess it depends on whether the episode is myth or MOTW. With those definitions it could go either way. Of course, we both could be totally off base. :)

[SPOILER] I've heard that Charlie returns in episode 18. She went off to find a book to help with the MOC, right? Was it called "Book of the Damned"? I can't remember if we saw the name.

Guessing "Dark Dynasty" refers to Crowley and Rowena, "Angel Heart" is probably an episode revolving around Cas, and "The Prisoner" is Metatron. "Paint it Black" could mean the return of Demon!Dean. As for "Inside Man", I have no clue :D

  3. I find my ideas of what episodes might be about based off future titles are always completely wrong, haha. But I do enjoy the fun speculation. I figure Charlie will be back in Book of the Damned though, but that's probably an easy assumption.

I have to wonder though with the early S11 pick up, if the MOC story line will complete at the end of S10 or if a part of it will carry over with a cliffie into next season... gonna be fun to find out!

  4. I don't know it brother's keeper is necessarily what is being guessed at for a couple of reasons. first off, God isn't around, and I don't figure we'll be seeing chuck in episode 23 asking dean about sam...because sam did something to dean. secondly, I don't think dean is going to kill sam, because killing sam turns him into a knight of hell....like forever....and I think cain's warning to dean doesn't necessarily guarantee his fate...but gives him the chance to change it. thirdly, it might not be about dean as much as what sam does to save dean....

so as I am excited about the season finale....actually i'm excited about every episode, i'm not really worried.

  5. you can't go back and edit. i'm sorry my niece came down and totally distracted me. what I intended to say was that I don't know if brother's keeper is necessarily what is being guessed at.....and I don't guess we'll be seeing chuck asking dean about sam...because dean did something to sam...

ps...happy birthday to Jensen today.....I think he's approaching the hill.....lol

  6. So excited about there episodes!! Just hope for more bad ass or acting strange Dean before/if they cure him. Same goes for Deans "im fine" after he have acted out and then we wait for 4 eps to see something happen again. Not enough Dean as they promised with "Year of the Deanmon" and all talk about how the MoC will effect Dean. We haven't seen that much. So more screen time for Dean. And I like Charlie, I do, but if she comes back with the book and they find a cure (or even with the help from Metatron) then that's a pretty lame way to solve the mark issue. This is a great storyline for Dean/Jensen and one that only he can go through and not Sam also. I strongly wish for Dean to be effected by all of thing with MoC even in season 11 cured or not! Oh.. if they do cure him with help from Charlie or Metatron, that's gonna sting for Cain when he lived with the mark for so long without finding a way to get rid of it. Speaking of Cain! Did Dean really kill him? He seemed way to.. calm for being the sole bearer of the mark and after killing Cain. And Cain said that Dean was holding back. So awesome season!!!
