Review - Supernatural Episode 11x11 "Into the Mystic" - I have a bad feeling about this...

-by sweetondean

Robbie Thompson…he gets us. I feel like he’s become the writing voice of the fandom. Giving us little nuggets of joy; like awesome walking away shots, characters talking about the brothers like we do, as well as the deep brother moments we all love and the powerful conversations we all need. Robbie 100% gets what makes Supernatural the weirdly special, lightning in a bottle show that it is – the Winchester brothers and their relationship.

“Into the Mystic” was fabulous from whoa to go. The many gorgeous moments between Sam and Dean, the introduction of Eileen - a Men of Letters legacy, so cool, the introduction of Mildred – a woman with a great attitude towards life, good advice and excellent taste in men, the completely terrifying moment between Dean and Lustifer (is that what we’re really calling him?!), and a truly frightening monster – that Banshee was the thing nightmares are made of!

Classic Supernatural with everything I love about this show bundled into a ball of scary and feely feels!

SUPERNATURAL THINK TANK - Thinky Thoughts on Supernatural 11x11

-by Anna

In last week's episode, Lucifer tried to manipulate Sam by convincing Sam that he was too weak to take on the Darkness.  He wanted Sam to believe that he no longer had the fight that he once had which had enabled him to save the world.  Lucifer did this by taking Sam for a walk down memory lane, showing him what Lucifer to perceive as Sam's boldest, bravest moments and then showing him when he lost it all. Lucifer showed Sam with Amelia and in that moment Lucifer did his damnedest to convince Sam that by choosing to run from hunting, by giving up, this was the moment Sam became weak, he lost his will to fight and he no longer has what it takes to beat Amara.

Lucifer's attempt to get to Sam failed, but it did manage to cause Sam to feel guilty all over again, this as we saw in the moments when Sam couldn't sleep and the conversation between him and Lucifer kept swimming through his head.  The guilt is still with Sam as we all saw and finally got to hear in tonight's episode, but I don't think it's all black and white and I feel that both Andrew Dabb and Robbie Thompson have at last showed the fans what most of us have believed all along, so thank you for finally letting us see for ourselves what we've been saying all along.

Review - Supernatural Episode 11x10 "The Devil in the Details"

-by sweetondean

Firstly, I’d like to apologise for being a bit late with this week’s review. I’m finding it hard to sit down and write at the moment due to a killer work schedule basically leaving me mentally and creatively drained. So please be patient with me as I try to find a way to balance both things. These reviews take me an inordinate amount of time to write, because I’m kind of pernickety about them (writing is rewriting) and about the screencaps, and finding the energy at the moment is a tad on the tricky side. However, I love this show with a passion, and I love writing about it, and I love all of you who support me here and even followed me here from somewhere else, so I’m gunna keep grinding…as our favourite brothers would say. But please understand if some weeks I’m tardy. I’m trying.

Now on to really important stuffs! OUR AMAZEBALLS SHOW!

SUPERNATURAL THINK TANK: Thinky Thoughts and Theories on 11x10 "Devil in the Detail"

- by Anna

Welcome back Supernatural and fandom, I hope everyone had a very happy holiday break.  It's been a long Hellatus this time around, but I must say after two watches, it was very much worth the wait.

This episode certainly had my mind swimming with many thinky thoughts, which I'd like to share with you with hope that you might share your thinky thoughts as well.  Before I start the theory part of my article, I just want to first sing high praises to everyone involved in tonight's episode.  It was an enticing episode that grabbed you by the boot straps and did not let go...not for a second.  Everyone brought their A game and every emotion one can feel all at once...I think was felt during this episode.  I must confess that for me, the MVP player award for the night belongs to Jared and Mark P, as I saw them as a unit, for what was a gut wrenching, nail biting, stand up and cheer performance that left you in a state of goodness. That being said, I would now like to share with you all my thinky thoughts.

Supernatural News Round Up!

-by sweetondean

So I've been meaning to do this post for a while, but life and stuff...you know how it gets! Now we're nearly done with Hellatus! Hallelujah! So I thought I best pull my finger out! There will be some spoilers later, but I'll give you plenty of warning!

First things first... congratulations to Jensen on his People's Choice Award! Such exciting news, and accepted...for us fans anyway...in such a gracious manner. Bringing in the other Supernatural cast member nominated - Misha...and his kettle. How very Jensen. It was a super cute and super adorable video. And the whole thing totally made my day!

Is Supernatural The Most Buzzed About TV Show of 2015?

-by sweetondean

I can't help but be interested in audience engagement metrics! Part of my job is to stay across the ratings for the programs on the network I work for. My work day can be greatly affected by ratings, whether it's the mood in the office when something kills it or the flurry of meetings when something horribly fails, or the sudden need to produce a new promo campaign to change the direction of the sell, or to capitalise on the success of a sell. Every morning, especially during ratings period, checking how my network's shows did the night before and where the network sits overall, is part of my routine.
